What a Great Man. Watching the Video brought tears to my eyes. I know Steve Loved his family. The thing that sticks with me is when I really first remember meeting Steve. Tim was getting started on his new house in Fort Valley and Steve and I were there to help. We had the UGA game going on the radio and we all stopped when Kevin Butler came out to attempt a 60 yard field goal against Clemson...and he made it. Even though that was in 1984 it seems like yesterday. After that day I can honestly say I never saw Steve get rattled to much about anything. Joy may beg to differ, but I guarantee you at the end of the day Joy and Karlie knew he Loved them. Anyone that new Steve knew how much he Loved those 2 girls. You will be missed Steve. I am honored to have known you. Until we meet again rest in Peace.
My deepest and most sincere sympathies to the Colwell family. I worked with Steve for many years there at Blue Bird. He's going to be missed by all of us.
Steve will always have a special place in our hearts. He was a man of many talents, but most of all he lived a life loving and serving everyone showing the love of Christ. He was a true example of the hands and feet of Jesus. He will be greatly missed by the Duke family. Love to Joy, Karlie, and the rest of the family!
You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time and the up coming days. Sending you kits of love hugs and prayers. Mark and Robin Peavy and family

Joy, Karlie and family, our hearts are broken thinking of the loss of Steve. We know he will be missed more than words can say. I'm sorry I just saw the arrangemens this evening. I guess I overlooked them yesterday when I checked. We plan on seeing y'all sometime tomorrow though, but it may have to be at Oak Hill. Although we haven't kept in touch a whole lot over the years, we've always loved you and Steve and all of your family, Joy. You all have been in our prayers and will continue to be.
