Sara was born in Ty Ty, Georgia, to the late John Franklin and Clara Sandefur Moore. She worked with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in Air Materials Support where she loved traveling for business within the United States and abroad. She retired after twenty-five years of service. Then Sara, along with her husband, founded, owned, and operated Crossroads Realty and Construction Company for more than twenty years. During that time, she built nearly two-hundred homes in the Perry area. A sharp businesswoman, Sara was strong and strong-willed. Later in life, Sara owned Salon de Sarita, a local hair salon, where she met and grew to love many of her clients as friends. She was a caring member of Free Point Church and was active until her health began to decline. She was a generous lady, always ready to help anyone in need and was very supportive of her family, her friends, her church, and her community. Sara enjoyed gardening and working in her yard making her home inviting and beautiful. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who treasured the time she spent with her family. Those who knew and loved Sara will miss her dearly.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Sara are her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, John and Elvira Evana Bailey of Santa Clarita, California; her granddaughter, Sophia Bailey; and her best friend/caregiver, Karen Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly forty years, George Russell Bailey; and her son, Mike Bailey.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
