Raymond Wood 'Pat' Patterson's Obituary

Raymond Wood "Pat" Patterson, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Perry. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013, also at First Baptist Church of Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to the House of God Campaign, First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Mr. Patterson was born in Wilkinson County to the late Francis and Mary Walden Patterson. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Self-employed for many years, he and his wife owned and operated Patterson Supermarket in Jeffersonville. Having moved to Perry in 1999, Mr. Patterson was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry, where he was a member of Buice Sunday School Class. He was an ordained Deacon and a Gideon. Mr. Patterson loved fishing and was a prize-winning gardener.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Patterson are his loving wife of over 66 years, Annie Driggars Patterson of Perry; his children, Raymond Keith Patterson (Kathy) of Byron, Alfred Walker Patterson (Janet) of Kennesaw, and Jackson Craig Patterson (Rosemari) of Perry; his sister, Vivian Raines of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
