A Celebration of His Life will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., the hour preceding the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Suite 2225, Atlanta, GA 30303; The Church Youth Group, P. O. Mr. Moore was born in Americus to the late A. R. and Kate Walker Moore. A graduate of Willingham High School in Macon, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern College. A true businessman and entrepreneur, he owned and operated The Bottle Shoppe in Marshallville for over 19 years. Through the years, as his interest grew in collecting old jukeboxes, pinball machines, and video games, so, too, did his ability to repair and restore them. Mr. Moore opened Gameroom Goodies in Marshallville, where he bought and sold to collectors all around Middle Georgia until his retirement in 1999. "Popa", as he was affectionately known to his family, enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. He loved to go fishing, and was so proud to teach his sons and his grandchildren how to fish. With a friendly smile and a kind spirit, he greeted everyone the same. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Moore and Randy Moore.
Left to cherish the memories of Popa are his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Suzanne Day Moore of Perry; his sons and their wives, Phillip and Julie Moore of Perry, and Walker and Monica Moore of Reynolds; his grandchildren, Lanier Moore, John Walker Moore, Harleigh Moore, and Hunter Moore; his sister, Regina Cooper (Bob) of Akron, Ohio; a niece, Kathryn Cooper; and a nephew, Tyler Cooper.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
