MEAVE ELIZABETH BRENNAN's Obituary

Meave Elizabeth Brennan, 76, passed away peacefully just after midnight on Friday, May 3, 2024. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends and family to their home immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in memory of Meave Brennan be made to Brain Support Network, P.O. Meave was born on January 28, 1948, in Walpole, New Hampshire, to the late James Edward Brennan and the late Ruth Shirley Munde Brennan. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire, a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Florida State University, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Georgia College and State University. Meave was a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Supervisor and was retired from the Phoenix Center after thirty-one years of service there. She was a member of the GA Addiction Counselors Association and the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Addition Counselors, and was a Master Addiction Counselor certified through the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals. Meave was a peacemaker all of her life, attempting to help others with opposing views find common ground. She donated her brain to be studied in-depth, hoping it might help neurological professionals to better understand Primary Progressive Aphasia.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Meave are her loving and faithful husband of thirty years, Larry Baggett of Kathleen; her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Mavis McCormick-Rantze and Edward Rantze of Suwanee; and her grandchildren, Emily Rantze and Amelia Rantze. Also surviving are her siblings, Michael Brennan (Brenda) of Swanzy, New Hampshire, Thomas Brennan of Sedona, Arizona, Rory Brenan of Battleboro, Vermont, and Jane Ihndris of The Villages, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and her sister-in-law, Karen Crews (Cliff) of Dudley.
The family would like to sincerely thank Traditions Hospice, Visiting Angels, and Meave’s dear friends for helping her through the final transition of her life.
