Meave was a beautiful lady, inside and out. She loved her husband, Larry, very much. Larry loved her so much. I saw how he cared for her in her final months, never leaving her side. She loved her daughter, Mavis and son-in-law, Ed. She adored her two granddaughters, Amelia and Emily. I worked with Meave for 25+ years, and I remember at the lunch table she would bring out her phone with a big smile on her face and show us the 50+ pictures of her granddaughters. She was so proud of them. She was so proud of her daughter and son-in-law also.
Meave was fun, just ask her Dragoncon friends. She was smart, caring and beloved by all. Her love for animals, especially cats, was probably an inspiration for her daughter, Mavis, to become a veterinarian. She loved clothes and bargains. Always the fashion Queen wherever she went. Meave was always serious about her profession as a Social Worker and later in Management of Quality Assurance. She did her best to insure everyone followed the rules and make Phoenix Center an agency with high standards of care.
But most of all to me, she was my friend! I love her. I will miss her and she will be in my memories always!
