My dear Rhonda. I just got word of Gene's passing. I am so sorry to hear this news. I pray for you and your family for God's peace. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Saddened to hear of Gene's passing. Met Gene for first time at Jessie's baseball game. I umpired and Gene and I became instant friends. We continued our friendship through the years and I always enjoyed seeing him. My thoughts and prayers are extended to all his wonderful family.
Krystal,Please know that my love and prayers are with the family over the loss of one so special. May happy memories bring comfort now and throughout the days ahead.

I am so heartbroken for all of you. Gene was a wonderful person who gave joy to so many. I have great memories of coming to Perry in the summer with my mom and dad to visit Uncle Eddie and Aunt Laneath and all of my cousins. After my parents moved to Perry, I loved the family gatherings and Gene always made them so much fun!I wish I could have visited more over the last several years. Gene will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I hope that you will find peace in the memories of a life well lived. Love to all, Charlotte (Charlie and Dannie Jean's daughter)
Rhonda, rest assured that Gene loved his family. He is catching bigger fish now in Gods Lake in heaven than he ever did here in life. Dang, Gene did love to fish and I'm going to miss talking to him about fishing.God BlessRoy CurlW/R, GA
