Louis A. Scarci, Sr., 92, passed away in Macon, Georgia, on October 18, 2012. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kathleen, Georgia on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Eric Film Read Obituary
I will miss my patient and neighbor Mr. Scarci. And I regret not making more visits to talk about music. I was glad to know him and always will remember the wave and "hey doc" from across the fence. He was so kind to give my boys their first 'job' picking up pinecones in his yard, and paid them way more money than they really earned. I wish we could have played some music together, I would have loved to hear him on clarinet. We will miss you Mr. Scarci and will see you again.
I met him the first time in 1964. He and James J James were our elementary school music teachers. Very nice man then. I wanted to play the clarinet but my orthodonist said no so switched to the cornet. Later, he was our band director in Jr and senior high school.Great man. Definitive influence on my love of music. RIP Lou.
