I knew her as Jennifer Armstrong. I was only 8 years old, it was the summer of 1976, and my family had just moved into Fair Oaks Apartments in Little Rock when I met her. Geoffrey was out playing one day and he was pretending to be superman, he was 4 years old. I saw him fall and cut his knee, I helped him and brought him to his apartment where Jennifer was there to care for him. From that point forward, the three of us became friends and spent several summers together over the years. I eventually moved out of Arkansas and lost touch.
The last time I spoke with Jennifer was in 1991, we spoke several times that year and at length. After 1991, I lost touch again and have been searching for her since, not knowing she remarried and changed her name. I only found her by searching through the Arkansas court records and found memaw's court proceedings when she passed in 1997.
I'm happy to see how her family has grown and the love she continued to share. I remember her being so happy when she passed the LPN exam and was enjoying her new career.
I'm sad to see she only passed 3 years before I could speak with her once again. As a child she was like a second mother to me for so long. She will always be with me and always have a place in my heart. - Travis Anderson
