He grew up in Cairo, Georgia, and continued his education at Florida State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Mr. Faircloth joined the Navy where he proudly served our country for two years. He then moved to Dawson, Georgia, where he met and married the love of his life, Mariflyn Bridges. Mr. Faircloth became a Certified Public Accountant and soon opened a CPA practice with the late Tom Crittenton and also served on City Council in Dawson. He was a craftsman, often designing wreaths, trees, and other home decor using pinecones or seashells, some of his favorites. Mr. Faircloth's family was always amazed that he would read nearly ten books a week simultaneously, having multiple books in each room to read.
