Lauren and Shannon: I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in our prayers
I read with sadness about Jimmy's passing away.
While I had not seen Jimmy in about 40 years he was the kind of man that made a lasting impression. He was strong of character yet kind of heart. He was determined in his demeanor but usually quiet in his carriage. A fine American that I will always remember.
Being a Marine myself and hearing of Jame Edward Guest passing saddens my heart... I remember 50 plus years ago playing baseball and football at the park on Adkins Drive and Hardy Place... I lived on Guthrie Drive ... I remember his sister totally in love with the Beattles and have to listen to them when I was at Jimmy's house... I remember the night of the accident with the shotgun and how that scared the crap out of me... it has been so many years... but this Marine and I were connected ... I served in the Marines... I volunteered for duty in Vietnam ... 1st Tanks, 1st Marine Division... Semper Fi my brother ... keep watch on the gates of Heaven until I gete there to relieve you... thank you for your service... God Bless the family ...
God bless you Marine you have served your family, nation and your Corps
with honor. We will miss you.
Semper Fi,
