One simple but important memory of Jim is his visits with his family in Perry after his brother Tom got older- he would come and take Tom to lunch, maybe bring some photos to look at, and then head back home. Those visits were short but oh so sweet and meant the world to Tom. Jim was kind and thoughtful and loved his family. Nancy was the sane way ❤️

I worked with Jim at the City of Perry back in the early 2000's. I will always remember his kindness, humor, and friendship. To know Jim, was to know how much he loved his family. He was a good man. My prayers go out to his beloved and friend.

Jim was a dear friend. I will miss him very much. After him & Nancy moved to Fayetteville, Jim & I were on the transportation committee at Fayetteville First Baptist church. We kept the vehicles cleaned & ready to go. On all the patriotic holidays we would always post flags around the church & put up the silhouettes he had made. On our mission trips we referred to him as "Hardware Jim" because he always brought along a suitcase size container of hardware.

One of my biggest heroes as a child!!! I will never forget during Fire Prevention Week, they would have a "festival" type thing at the High Scool to teach fire prevention and what to do if there was a fire, etc. Every year, Mr. Jim would dress up in his silver suit and walk into a small structure fully engulfed in flames. He is the one that made me want to be a firefighter, and I was lucky enough to spend 5 yrs or so as a Volunteer firefighter for Houston County.
Such a sweet, gentle man. Am glad to say I got to spend a lot of time with the Moody family as a youngster.
