I had the distinct pleasure and great honor to know George Washington Bedford for eighteen years. For sixteen of those years I was fortunate enough to be his son-in-law and be able to sit at the feet of the learning tree as he took me on a trip into the past with him with every story he told. Every family should be so blessed to have a man such as he in their own tree. Now he's back home on the farm that he spoke so fondly of with his parents and brothers, only this version of Tupelo, Mississippi can't be located on any map of the United States. This Tupelo only exists in a small section of Heaven itself. God Bless You, George Bedford. You were an ordinary, yet extraordinary gentleman, and a wonderful father-in-law. As Bob Hope used to sing... "Thanks For The Memories". I am blessed to have them the rest of my life.
