GAYLON BERT DAVIS's Obituary
KATHLEEN –
Gaylon Davis, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 18, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends the hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Gaylon was a lifelong resident of Kathleen and attended Warner Robins High School. He worked for Prickett Farms for over twenty years, hauling crops and hay as needed during harvest times. Gaylon loved to be outside and “piddle around,” often working in his garden “patch” growing a few peppers and other things to share, or sometimes even photographing the wonders of nature that intrigued him. Gaylon could talk with anyone, telling stories of times past, filling the room with laughter, and making friends easily, young and old, alike. Many who knew him have fond memories of riding on the tractor or combine with Gaylon. He enjoyed spending time with his family and lifelong friends who had become family to him.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Gaylon are his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Danny Johnson of Kathleen; his nieces, Carrie Johnson Lambert (Ethan) and Kelly Johnson Miller (Rodney); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Gaylon was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Gladys Smith Davis.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
