I remember Gene from my young days working at Steve Van Ostran's gas station. He was always a nice guy and fun to be around. My prayers are with his family.

My Heart and my Thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you Gene's Family. I first met Gene Many years ago in 93', as he came out to my property on Housers Mill Rd to put up the Hi-tech fence for my horses, and then again , more fence in 2003. He truly was a kind Soul. He did all he could to make sure his customers were satisfied. He surely will be missed I know. I hadn't seen him in years. I just lost my brother last December. They were about the same age, my brother, maybe a year older. so I truly know what you all are going through. Please know Gene made an Impression on everyone he met. Know there are those who care. God Bless all of You. May Our Lord send the comfort of His Holy Spirit to be with all of you in the Days ahead. I didn't know about His Passing till just now. Please know You will be thought about in the days ahead. It is a shock to me. Support Each other... All you can...God Bless and keep you all ALWAYS...
You will always be remembered for being strong willed and walking your own path!! Never bowing to others just doing things the way saw fit no matter what others may have thought! My Daddy loved you very much, his only brother,my uncle. I love you,. They are all waiting on you!

Vivian, so sorry to hear this, prayers for you and your family.
So sorry to hear this sad news. Gene was very dear to us. Hugs and prayers to the family.
Vivian and Johnny, we were saddened to hear of the death of your brother. We remember seeing him taking walks on Brittany. Occasionally our paths would cross and he would stop and talk for a while. His spirit was gentle and his words were soft. He made a lasting impression on both of us. We are so sorry.
Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
Gene was a real Marshallvillian, an outdoor guy good with nature and with a good nature. He was fair to us younger kids He walked his own path and expected us to respect his. He was understandable. The world could use some more understandable men. Prayers and strength to his extended family as we are all diminished by his passing.
Sorry for your loss. Rest in pease Gene
