When we were in high school, Frans always had a smile on his face. He was a friend to everyone. He will be missed by many.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
R.I.P. HUBBA BUBBA....
Sorry for your loss....I am in tears writing this...I just found out that Frans had died....from 2008 until 2013 he was apart of my everyday life, as he was a regular customer at the Publix Pix Store...that was in Perry...I fondly called him Hubba Bubba...and so did everyone else at the Pix.....he will be missed greatly....I Love You Hubba Bubba...R.I.P.......
Dear Meens Family, Lifting up powerful prayers for you to find comfort. Losing Frans is a great loss for many. He made a huge difference in this world. I have only good memories of Frans, the most vivid was buying my first car from him; a 1969 Chevy Impala! Back in the day when cars were made of real metal and you could drive them like a tank. I owned that car for 10 years and not once (not a single time) did anyone ever refer to that car as anything but Frans' car. I would be asked "how is Frans' car driving for you or when you gonna sell Frans' car or how long have you had Frans' car?" I laugh as I share this, although not as hard as I laughed and cried at the story of safety glasses on the dog from Terry. Frans was a forever friend as he was the forever owner of the car. If he was your friend, he was your friend for life through it all. He will be deeply missed! Blessings, Beth Bennett
My sincere condolences to the Meens family. He was such a nice person.
Frans was one of those people that made you glad to just be wherever he was. He always had a smile ready for you, a funny story and a pat on the back. Having moved away from Perry many years ago, I have only had the pleasure of sharing time with him at the occasional class reunion. Those times were a joy and I will miss his laughter and always envy his dancing skills. My deepest sympathy to his family. He was a special person.
I went to high school with Frans and have many great memories that I will always remember. He ways always smiling! Sherrie my thoughts and prayers are with you and family.
Met Frans when family moved to Henderson, GA. Built a friendship that lasted many years. Umpired many baseball games with him. He told me he would teach me how handle irate fans. He did and we had a great time. Bought a 1965 Chevrolet truck from Frans in 1986. Still have it and it is a treasure. He tried numerous times to buy it back but could not let it go. My deepest sympathy to the family.
