EVELYN PAULETTE BRYANT BOWEN's Obituary
WARNER ROBINS –
Evelyn Paulette Bryant Bowen, 77, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 22, 2020. A Memorial Service to celebrate Paulette’s life will be held at Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rebie, Georgia, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Danny Mathis will officiate.
Paulette was born on October 22, 1942, to the late Thomas and Lillian Hendrix Bryant of Goldsboro, Georgia. She worked as a secretary to Judge Smith in Social Security Hearings and Appeals in Macon for many years. She later retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Paulette was married to the late Johnny D. Bowen and loved her family with all of her heart. She lived a full and happy life, and was a great listener who always put people at ease. Everyone who met her delighted in her kindness, her warmth, and the beauty of her smile. She weathered the storms of life with courage and grace that flowed from her faith in Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Rev. James Earl Bryant, Maurice Bryant, Rudolph Bryant and his wife, Faye, and Harolyn Bryant and his wife, Ann; and her husband, Johnny Bowen.
Survivors include her children, James Sikes, Kathy Sikes Bates and Stacy Mauldin (Sandra), both of Cochran, and Dawn Brandenburg Moore of Warner Robins; her grandchildren, Heather Huggins (Calvin), James Adkins, Christopher Bates (Hannah), Kyle Mauldin (Julie Gardner), Bryson Callis, Tiffany Brandenburg, and Cameron Hall; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She would say they were all “her pride and joy.” She was also blessed to still have her sisters-in-law in her life, Bessie Bryant and Faye Bryant.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
