Evelyn Matherly Rogers Davis, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church (10157 Hwy 341 N, Ft. Valley) at 11: 00 a.m. with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church at P.O. Box 130, Perry, GA 31069.
Mrs. Davis was born in Mercer County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mattie White Matherly. For years she was active in the Perry Pilot Club, the Sewing Club, the Perry Book Club and the Pink Ladies Auxillary.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Gary Rogers of Apex, N.C. and Karen Rogers of Perry; two step-sons, Kenneth Davis and Ron Davis; Sisters, Irene Winner, and Frances Gallagher.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Gilbert Francis Rogers and Clarence Davis.
