Melanie Payne
Dear Karen and Gary,I was thinking of your dear mother recently and what I remembered was that I was playing with Karen in the basement at about 10 years of age and your Mom was letting us use the woodburner and when I used it, I set it down on the ottoman and it burned a hole in the fabric and she said no big deal, that she could take some extra fabric from the bottom and repair the burn hole! She didn't get upset, or at least she didn't show it. It is funny what you do remember from so many growing up moments, but I remember her being very kind about that incident! I lost Mom is 2011 and it is very hard at first, but in time, you get to where you still miss them terribly, but you can remember and quote the funny things they said and did, and it does get easier in time. You just have to realize that she is back with her mother now. Mom had missed her dear mother for 18 years when she was reunited with her. That gave me great peace!Love, Melanie Riner Payne
