PERRY, GEORGIA - Elbert Griffin “Griff” Long, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 27, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Perry on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Read Obituary
I was sad to see of Griffin's passing. He was my Sunday school teacher way back in the '50s when I was in Jr High. We lived in the same neighborhood. I knew his Dad and went to the Elbert S Long grammar school (of course named for his Dad). I hadn't seen Griffin in many years, but was a very nice person as I remember. I know he will be missed.

Griff was such a beloved neighbor and friend for so many years, it's hard to imagine the neighborhood without him. He will be sorely missed by so many. Greta, praying for the Lord's own peace and comfort to be showered on you in the days ahead.
