I have sweet memories from childhood of Miss Doris as our families attended Memorial Heights Baptist Church together. She and my Mama were always close friends and worked many hours together at the church. I remember her sweet smile and she always wore pretty clothes. She was strong Christian lady who loved her family and her church family dearly. Sending condolences to the family.

Praying for the family 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I was sad to learn that Ms. Doris has passed on, but know that you take comfort in the fact Heaven celebrated her arrival. She will be missed by all who knew her because she made this earth a better place. Having worked with Ms. Doris at the HCBE, it was a joy to be in her presence. She was kind and loving and had the nicest smile. She also made the best desserts and would share her recipes. I’m glad we got to see her recently while out to lunch! That was a special surprise. May God comfort you during this sad time. Our love, prayers and condolences to all of her family.

Mrs. Doris was always a special person to me. My condolences to all of you! She was such a lovely person and will be missed by many.
Mrs. Doris has always been very special to my family. She has taught my children in Sunday School and assisted with youth studies and programs at Second Memorial. I always considered her a dear friend and Christian mentor. She was also so good to my mother during her time of illness. My mother and she shared many a card and words of encouragement. I will always be grateful for the wisdom she poured into my children and myself as well as the friend she was to my mother. She will be greatly missed by many, but what a legacy of love and friendship she has left behind.
