DANIEL GRAYSON HART ADAMS's Obituary
PERRY-
Daniel Grayson Hart Adams, known to most as Danny, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 4, 2025, after a long and difficult medical journey. He was surrounded by love and cared for deeply every step of the way. He was 71 years old. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Grove Church, 120 Langston Road, Perry, immediately following the service. A private interment will take place in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial contributions be made to the Houston County Public Library Perry Branch, 1201 Washington Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Danny was born on November 12, 1953, in Macon, Georgia. He was the son of G.T. and Velma Louise Adams. A third-generation machinist, Danny worked in the trade for 50 years, something he took great pride in. He spent much of that time at Armstrong World Industries, known for his precision, steady work ethic, and quiet dedication.
Danny and Nancy met as teenagers through church and built a life together that spanned over five decades, filled with love, resilience, and shared faith.
He was a man of quiet strength and dry humor, who preferred simplicity over show and found meaning in the familiar rhythms of life, work, family, and home. He loved books, especially history, and passed that love of reading and learning to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid board gamer and a longtime member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, where his passion for history and craftmanship found a unique outlet.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Donna Middlebrooks; and his brother, Fred Bieber.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Corne Adams; his children, daughter, Misty Adams Chestnut (Michael) and his son, Daniel Adams (Brittney); his grandchildren, whom he was so proud of, Eli Moody, Eden Moody, Abby Chestnut, Grayson Adams, Hunter Adams, and Lincoln Adams; his sister, Darlene Layson (Gerald); his sister-in-law, Yvonne Bieber; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His greatest joy was found in his grandchildren, who brought light to even the hardest days.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
