I'm so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. While I haven't seen him in more than thirty years, he was one of my best childhood friends - always kind, ready with a laugh; I have wonderful memories of him, his Mama, and Dad. Mr. Charlie was like a church dad to me!
He encouraged me and instructed me at the exact times that I needed those things the most.
He showed me many ways to take care of God's church not just the building but the most important part, the people! By loving them and joking with them, to bring them smiles. By taking care of them and checking on them. If I could take care of God's church half as well as Mr. Charlie did I would have accomplished a great thing! He will be greatly missed by the people of Exchange Church.
