ELKO – Charles Hyde Kezar, Sr., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 12, 2021, after a brief illness. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville with the R Read Obituary
Mr. Kazer was one of the best bus drivers i was assigned too my years of working in Perry bus shop as a monitor. He always had kind words too say about my Grandfather the Willie Lee Kendrick Sr and family. He will surely be missed may his soul Rest In Peace.
I was Charles’ supervisor the last 5 years he was at the Bus Barn where he drove a Special Needs bus for me. During those years I heard a great deal of history about Houston County from Charles. I always enjoyed my history lessons with him and often teased him about writing a coffee table type book about all of interesting stories he told about our community. I had a great respect and fondness for Charles and will miss my history lessons. Rest now in peace brother. ~ Michael J. Hall
