A private interment will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Ft. Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice. Charley, fondly referred to as “Mr. C” by many, taught school for the Houston County School System for 33 years. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles F. Culpepper, Sr., and Alice Long Culpepper; and his brother, Thomas James Culpepper. Left to cherish the memories they made with Charley are his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Mollie Jones Culpepper of Perry; his daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Boyd Brooks of Demorest, GA, and Mollie Charles and Kevin Tolbert of Perry; his grandchildren, Sarah Alice Brooks of Phoenix, AZ, Aaron Brooks (Hannah) of Clarkesville, GA, Palmer Tolbert and Mollie Asbury Tolbert, both of Perry; his sisters, Dorothy C. Wingfield (John) of Macon and Beverly C. Hatten (Art) of Fort Valley; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
