Ira T. (Tommy) White,
I, too, am sad to hear about Carol's passing. I, too, was a 1965 graduate with her. Carol came to us in High School. Growing up in Perry, we were warned to be wary of the "Yankees." Carol wasn't your regular Yankee. She rolled over us like a warm ocean wave and was shortly one of the most popular girls in school. Carol was the sweetest girl we had ever met. She was popular with both girls and boys. For us guys, it didn't hurt she was drop-dead gorgeous.
I was honored to escort Carol to our 11th grade Jr Sr. She was one of the prettiest belles there. For that one night in 1964, I was the man. YES, I am bragging.
Over the years, Carol and I would run into each other at the drug store, the Bank, and many other places. We always talked about the fun we had at PHS.
Carol came to us as one of the sweetest, vivacious, classy girls we knew. Her smile warmed everyone she ever met. What a beautiful young lady. I've told people worldwide that I was lucky to have grown up with an exceptional group of people. Carol certainly was one of those. We are so sorry about Carol's passing. Even though Jerry and Carol are gone, remember we loved them both. They may be gone, but the Class of 1965 will never forget them. We were blessed to have known them, and remember we loved them both.
