Melissa, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Curtis, So sorry to hear about your Dad. My thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
To Melissa, Lora Ann, and John Curtis - my deepest sympathies go out to you at this time of loss and each is in my thoughts. Howard was blessed to have you all in his life and he knew this. I always admired and respected Howard as a man who was at peace with himself loving and living life as only such a man could. Although I did not see him often enough, I thought of him frequently and would wonder how he was and what sort of activity he might be enjoying at that moment. As he and I loosely kept in touch over the years from afar by phone, I especially enjoyed his laugh when we exchanged lighthearted craziness during those calls. Life cannot be explained - only lived and then left by all. So rest now my friend and cousin, and know that you lived life to its fullest, enjoyed its riches, and triumphed over its adversities, troubles, obstacles, and sufferings. Love, Charlie

Many happy memories fill my mind of you over the years when you were in Abbeville and served at Kramer. Even tho we were Methodist, you were one of our favorite pastors and a very dear friend to all my family. You helped do my Daddy's funeral. Thankful for having you as a dear friend. Go Rest High on the Mountain. You have earned your reward. You will be missed.
You were a wonderful pastor. He was our favorite pastor when we were growing up and attended Kramer Baptist Church. Please know your family in our prayers. Patricia Dalton Brown Kathleen,Georgia
