Miss Jones was my 4,5,&6th grade teacher at Clairmont Elem. In Decatur Ga. She had a 50 something Ford Starliner hardtop convertible and we all loved to watch her put the top down. When registering for 4th grade my mother told her my name was Frederick, and she changed it to Freddy on her own. Those were great years and I loved and respected Miss Jones.
I regret to learn of the passing of Barbara Jones, my long-time neighbor. I fondly recall that she always sat by my father, Van Johnson, at the meetings of the Perry Kiwanis Club at the New Perry Hotel dining room.
Barbara was a lovely lady. I have good memories of her, her parents and employees helping with special purchases in Jones Jewelers through the years. I still have a little cup that Barbara painted.

Dennis & I both always enjoyed time spent with Barbara....not only professionally as jewelers, but also as a friend!! She always stood out as a professional and certainly a LADY !! Just yesterday someone asked us if we knew where she was currently living & now we can report her arrival in heaven!!
