BARBARA JEAN GLASS's Obituary
Barbara Jean Glass, 61 of Perry, passed away on July 15, 2020. A Visitation will be held at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made in Barbara’s name to the donor’s charity of choice.
Barbara was born in Thomasville, Georgia, to the late Roger and Billie Nelms. She served Perry Hospital as a nurse for eighteen years, with the utmost compassion, care, and dedication. Barbara loved her family, but she especially loved being “Nunu” to her grandchildren. She was the music group Alabama’s biggest fan and she knew every word to all of their songs. If she could've only chose one song to be her favorite, it would have been “Angels Among Us”. Barbara was a former member of Drayton Baptist Church in Byromville, Georgia.
Left to cherish the memories that they celebrated with Barbara are; her daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Markham; her grandchildren, Brayden Markham, Brooke Markham; her sister, Linda (Dick) Horsting; her nephew, Chris (Brenda) Deaton; and her beloved fur baby, Bella.
