ZENITH LEE PARKER SR.'s Obituary
PERRY –
Zenith Lee Parker, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, just six short weeks after his beloved wife went to Heaven. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the home of his son, Chief Lee and Mrs. Pollyanna Parker. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date on Blythe Island near Brunswick. The details of that service will be announced as soon as they are available. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, Global Impact Fund, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Zenith was born in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Edgar P. and Mary Florence McIntyre Parker. When he was a young boy, his family moved to the Brunswick area where he lived most of his life. He met and married the love of his life, Carolyn Proctor. Zenith proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, from where he retired after six tours in Vietnam and twenty-five years of active duty. He was a long-time member of King Memorial Baptist Church. For the last two years of his life, he enjoyed living near family in Perry, where he had become a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. His greatest passion in life was his family who will dearly miss him.
Zenith was preceded in death by his parents and his loving and devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Betty Carolyn Proctor Parker.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Zenith are his son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Pollyanna Parker, of Perry; his son, Charles Parker of Hortense; his grandchildren, Zachary Parker (Ashleigh Arvizu), Austin Parker (Brittany), Megan Norris (Lucas), and Cheyenne Parker; his great-grandchildren, Adalyn Parker, Bellamy Parker, Sam Norris, Amelia Norris, Nolan Parker, Katrina Purvis, Declan Meece, and Delilah Meece; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Miller (Jerry) and Pam Smith (Luther), both of Brunswick; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry has been entrusted with the arrangements.
