Zelda Rosaline Robertson's Obituary
Age 88, of Bayou La Batre, AL passed away surrounded by her family and care giver Laura Steen, on Monday, July 18, 2016. Zelda was born in Pascagoula, MS on October 30, 1927. She graduated in 1945. After graduating Zelda began working for the telephone company as an operator and ended her career after working 36 years as a manager for Alabama Power. Zelda enjoyed giving her time and talents when there was a need. She was an active member for over 50 years of First Evangelical Methodist Church in Irvington, AL. Zelda enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Zelda is survived by her dauther, Nancy R. Keeffe, son-in-law, Don Keeffe, grandchildren, Michael Keeffe, Beverly K. Goode, grandson-in-law, Ron L. Goode, great grandchild, Makayla B. Goode, many family and friends. Zelda was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Robertson, mother, Idell Helton and brother, D.D. Helton. The funeral service will be held at First Evangelical Methodist Church (11329 Padgett Switch Rd. Irvington, AL 36544) on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation from 1 pm until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery. Kevin Brouilette of First Evangelical Methodist Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to First Evangelical Methodist Church. The family of Zelda R.
