Zach Taylor 'Zach' Lovorn's Obituary
WARNER ROBINS, GEORGIA
Zachary Taylor Lovorn, II, 84, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015, after an extended illness. Visitation will be on Monday, September 14, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Magnolia Park Memorial Gardens Mausoleum immediately following the service.
Mr. Lovorn was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late William E. Lovorn, Sr. and Daisy Brooks Lovorn. He grew up in Georgetown, South Carolina, and later moved to Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a Sheet Metal Mechanic with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, retiring after 34 years of service. He was a long-time member of Centerville Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir, and went on many mission trips. He also loved golfing and fishing. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William E. Lovorn, Jr., and John Joseph Lovorn; and a brother-in-law, Jackie Swain Powers, Sr.; and a great-nephew, Robbie Wedincamp.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Zach are his loving and devoted wife, Anna Robinson Lovorn of Warner Robins; his sister, Ann Lovorn Powers of Georgetown, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Lupita G. Lovorn of Corpus Christi, Texas; 8 nieces and nephews, Glenda Tyson, Susan Wedincamp, Glen Tyson, Jan Fort, Jack Powers, Jr., Richard Powers, Leigh-Taylor Boan, and Ruth Anna Moats; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; a great-great-niece; and a great-great-nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Rehoboth Baptist Association (Appalachian Ministry), 744 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
