Wylene was born in Marietta, Georgia, on January 21, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Hugh and Annie Bell Kent Groover. During the twenty-five years that she was in the Houston County area, she kept busy doing the things that she loved. Wylene loved to camp, she was an avid crafter, and was a proud member of the Crochet Club of Middle Georgia. Ms. Haney worked many years as a secretary until her retirement. Her loving husband, Wayne Dawling Haney; her son-in-law, Stephen Yeager; her sisters, Hazel Holcombe, Blanche Lindley; her nephew, Hugh Holcombe; and her niece, Beverly Lindey Kalter, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish the memories they shared with Wylene are her loving daughter, Lynne Haney Yeager; sister-in-law, Kate Yeager; nieces and nephews that lovingly called her “Aunt Doodle”, Cathy Holcombe Jenkins, Sam P. Lindley, Jody Hardin, Mickey Hardin and Carolyn Hardin.
Online condolences may be left for the family in our guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
