Wylds Jervey Posey's Obituary
Columbia, Alabama- Wylds Jervey “Jay” Posey, Jr., age 84, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Graveside service and interment will be at Perry Memorial Gardens on Thursday, February 28 at 3:00 PM, EST. Brother Randall Johnson will officiate.
Mr. Posey was born on December 24, 1928 to the late Wylds Jervey Sr. and Alpha Omega (Vaughn) Posey. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed working with computers and electronics.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Posey Beck and son-in-law, Donald Craig Beck, Columbia, AL; two granddaughters, Dana-Marie Lemmer, Dothan, AL and Chappell Ann Coleman, Macon, Georgia; a brother James A. Posey, Taylor, SC and sister Lillian J. Singleton, Inman, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Wells Posey and daughter Lisa Ann Coleman.
