Mrs. Willie Mae McGallagher's Obituary
Age 87, a native of Bayou La Batre, AL and a resident of Irvington, AL departed this earth for her eternal home on Thursday, June 23, 2016. She was an active dedicated member of the Bayou La Batre Church of God "Church of the Bayou". She was fierce, Courageous, high-spirited and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved Jesus and her family, and was an inspiring example of a christian woman. She gathered her strength from the authority of God's word. Everything she did was to glorify God, and did so till her last breath. She has finished her course, and she kept the faith. (2Timothy 4:7). She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford McGallaher, sisters, Ruth Jackson and Milldred Mitchell and brothers, Herman Peyregne and Laverne Peyregne. She is survived by her brother, Hilton (Deedle) Peyregne and June Brandt, children, Glenda (Jerry) Bentley, Elaine (Dwight) Brown, David (Judy) McGallagher, Wayne (Sherry) McGallagher, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Bayou La Batre Church of God "Church of the Bayou" from 10 am until 12 noon on Monday, June 27, 2016. Funeral service will be held at the church on Monday at 12 noon. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
