William L. “Billy” Ladnier,age 70, a lifelong resident ofBayou La Batre, AL passedaway on Monday, October6, 2014. He was an avidfisherman and world traveler.Billy was a very civic mindedperson. He supportednumerous organizationsand causes in the Bayou LaBatre area including AlbaMiddle School, Bryant HighSchool, Bayou La BatreChambers of Commerceand Citzens for Better GrandBay. He was preceded indeath by his wife, Lynda,son, William K., parents, Leoand Katie Belle Ladnier, 3sisters. He is survived byhis children, Michael (Kerry)Ladnier, Leo (Jana) LadnierII, Harrison Ladnier, NicholasLadnier, Justin (Nicole)Straub, Carolyn (Glenn)Wescovich, 18 grandchildren,3 sisters, 4 brothers, travelingcompanion and devotedfriend, Ann McLendon,nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and many friends.Visitation will be held atSerenity Funeral Homeon Thursday, October 9,2014 from 5 pm until 8 pm.Funeral service will be heldin the chapel at Serenity onFriday, October 10, 2014 at 10am. Interment will be in St.Michael’s Cemetery.
