I was saddened to see that Haines passed away, and share my condolences with the family. Among the most memorable times was waiting out a multi-day NC ice storm in his home with no power!
Saddened by another passing of a good friend and co-worker. I have so many good memories of Haines, a true gentleman and scholar and a public speaker guaranteed to make us laugh. We have him to thank for so many funny stories. Rest in Peace "my friend". Melba

Haines was truly a funny man. He was also a smart man that used humor to his advantage to help solve problems and pull people together. I never had an encounter with Haines that didn't make my day better. Sorry to hear of his passing.
I worked with Haines here in Florida while we were both with Sprint. I haven't seem him since he left Florida, but I remember him well. Great guy! Great sense of humor! I'm sorry to learn that he's gone. The world is a lesser place without folks like Haines.

I've known and worked with Haines for over 30 years. He was always more than willing to help fellow co-workers in any way he could. His sense of humor was the greatest and he was able to bring a group to tears (laughing) with stories and jokes. We always said that he missed his true calling as a stand-up comedian. Haines will be truly missed.
