William 'Bill' Bailey's Obituary
PERRY-
Bill Bailey passed away on Thursday March 5th, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 8th, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Watson Hunt Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Fall and Rev. Jimmy Black officiating. Interment will follow in Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 5:00 until 7:00 at Watson Hunt Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069.
A native of Crisp County, GA, Bill was born to the late William S. and Eloise Overby Bailey. Bill was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and Howell J. Cobb Sunday School Class. Bill was a retired Truck Driver for Benton Brothers Trucking and was preceded in death by his wife Ida Pearl Tharpe Bailey and they were married for 66-years.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Bailey are his son Larry Bailey (Kay) Bailey of Perry and his daughters Patricia (Fulton) Johnson, Perry and Kathy (Bobby) Altman of Unadilla, Sisters Eloise Finch, Centerville and Hortense (Leonard) Chapman of Goose Creek, S.C. Sister In Law Betty Matthews of Perry and 8-Grandchildren, 7-Great Grandchildren Also several nieces and nephews survive. Also surviving are all the children whose lives he touched through babysitting and driving a school bus.
