WAYNE KITCHENS's Obituary
Lewis Wayne Kitchens, 62, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, after an extended illness. The family will visit with friends to Celebrate his Life on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Memories will be shared at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 or www.kidneyfund.org. Wayne was born in Montezuma and graduated from Macon County High School in 1973. He also graduated from South Georgia Technical College. Wayne worked in and around Middle Georgia doing maintenance work for various companies including Brown & Williamson. They transferred him to Winston-Salem, NC, where he worked for 5 more years, then retired and returned to Middle Georgia. Wayne loved to fish and hunt, and more so just enjoyed being outside and UGA Football. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Kitchens. Left to cherish the memories they shared with Wayne are his son and daughter-in-law, Kit and Amy Kitchens, and his only granddaughter, Adaline Kate, all of Holly Springs, GA; his mother, Peggy Kitchens of Andersonville; his sisters, Glenda Nieto, Sebie Lee, and Terri Maxwell (Danny), all of Americus; a niece; several nephews; and Kit’s mother, Kaye Kitchens of Perry.
