Walter Marcus Byrd, age 91, a longtime resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Friday, March 2, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Friday Byrd, children, Linda Penner, Sharon Litton, Janice Godfrey, Marcus Byrd, Michael Byrd, Robert Byrd, Roger Byrd, 24 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Serenity on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
