VIVIAN BARNHARD's Obituary
Vivian Nancy (Way) Barnhard, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday,
April 21, 2024, surrounded her loved ones. At Vivian’s request, her six children
and their families will gather at a later time to spread her ashes in a special place.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to
Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hyland Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
Vivian was born on May 11, 1931, in Long Island, New York, to the late William
and Greta (Anderson) Way. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great
grandma. She will be remembered for her sweet and spunky personality, her
generosity, love of gardening and the sea shore. She doted on her family and
made them her life’s work. Vivian leaves behind an incredible legacy, built and
tended everyday, through her kindness and love.
Vivian was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, her parents and
sister Rowena.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Vivian are her children, Theresa
Bravo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Denver Gregory (Carolyn) of Monument,
Colorado, Kathleen Bailey of Warner Robins, Georgia, Lorinda Lamiell (Mark) of
Brookwood, Alabama, Mary Miller (Jamie) of Schenectady, New York, and Keith
Barnhard (Sherri) of Perry, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen
great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
