Virginia L Sewell's Obituary

Virginia L. Sewell, 82, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Ft. Valley Health Care, with her loving family by her side. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home with Reverend David Carter officiating. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. A visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, the hour preceding the service, at the funeral home. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Gentiva Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mrs. Sewell was born in Wray, Georgia, and was the daughter of the late Louis and Mattie Rowell Lupo. A homemaker all of her life, she attended Crossroads United Methodist Church and was an avid bowler. Her joy in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sewell was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Sewell; her sisters, Louise Harper, Frances Willis, and Carrie Carroll; and her brother, James Lupo.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Sewell are her children, Sheila Willard (Jesse, Jr.) of Forsyth, and Barbara Graham and Beth Clay, both of Perry; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Elnita Adkinson of Ambrose; her sisters-in-law, Winnifred Adkins of Cadwell, and Alice Sewell of North Ft. Myers, Florida.
