Life Legacy
Virginia went home to be with her Lord on January 9, 2016. There will be a celebration of her life at the First Baptist Church in Perry, GA on Wednesday, January 13th at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church before the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jaimie Powell will officiate. Virginia was born in Boykins, VA. She was the second of eight children born to Herbert and Bertha (Fuller) Vick. At the age of 13, at a revival she received Jesus as her Savior. Several years after marrying Julius Paul Icard they moved to Bradenton and few years later to West Palm Beach, FL where they lived for 47 years. She and Paul were members of First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach. Virginia moved to Perry in 2006 to be with her daughter. While in Perry, Virginia joined First Baptist Church and was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School class. Virginia was a loving wife and mother of her two children, Tony and Sherry. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a self-taught seamstress. Along with sewing she also enjoyed traveling in the mountains, listening to Big Band music and playing cards with friends.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Bertha Vick, her husband, Paul and her son Tony. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Icard Corson (David), two grandchildren, Amber and John Corson (Emily), a brother, Carroll Vick, four sisters in law, one brother in law, and three nieces and four nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
