Valeria Phelps Luoma's Obituary

Valeria Phelps Luoma, 87, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, after a lengthy illness. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden of the Good Shepherd in Perry Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully requests donations to Perry United Methodist Church, 1002 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069, OR The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203.
Mrs. Luoma was born in Rutledge, Georgia, to the late David A. Phelps and Essie Lee Phelps. She had lived in Perry for over 60 years and was a Retired Secretary with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, where she worked for 25 years. Mrs. Luoma was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and the Susannah Wesley Sunday School Class. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley L. Burks.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Luoma are her loving husband of 66 years, Stan Luoma of Perry; her children, Linda L. Page (James) of Maumelle, Arkansas, Wanda L. Brantley (Jon M.) of Dublin, and Lee Woodcock (Mark) of Macon; a brother, David Phelps, Jr. (Alice) of Perry; four grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
