TWALA LIGON ALFORD's Obituary

Twala Ligon Alford, 83, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after an extended illness. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins.
Twala was born on February 21, 1942, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Clyde and Sally Harper Ligon. She retired from the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center after a long career as a Logistician. Twala was a devoted follower of Christ, a faithful prayer warrior, and played piano for many church services. After her retirement, she assisted her late husband in planting several Baptist churches, including one in Peytona, West Virginia. From that experience, she co-founded Fields of Harvest, a ministry dedicated to providing food to the Appalachian people in West Virginia. Twala was a seamstress and an avid quilter. She loved animals, especially dogs and horses.
Twala was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Lipford; and her husband, Rev. Howard Alford.
Survivors include her two stepsons and their wives, Russ and Pam Alford of Henderson, Rob and Wanda Alford of Brooklet; her grandchildren, Christopher Alford (Katy) of Marietta, Stephanie Johnson (Shawn) of Perry, Brooke Osborne (Brent) of Brooklet, Morgan Alford of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Layne Alford of Brooklet; five great-grandchildren; and her devoted dog, Blessing.
