TRACY GRANTHAM's Obituary
PERRY –
Tracy Hawver Grantham, 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to assist with the funeral arrangements sent to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P.O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069.
Tracy was born in Gulf Port, Mississippi, to the late James Nathan Grantham, Sr., and the late Sandra Hawver Grantham. He was a 1982 graduate of Perry High School. At an early age, he learned to “tinker” with cars and loved mechanic work. In 1988, Tracy moved to Panama City, Florida, where he was Maintenance Supervisor for multiple condominiums. After several years, he became a journeyman master electrician and worked for contractors on jobs around the southeast for nearly twenty years. Tracy was skilled at working with his hands and was a builder, an electrician, a plumber – an excellent all-around handyman. If family or friends needed anything, he was always there to repair or build for them. Eventually, Tracy settled in Wewahitchka, Florida, where he continued working as a master electrician for the Bay County School System for sixteen years. He spent the last year of his life “back home” in Perry, Georgia, surrounded by his family and lifelong friends. One of his last projects was building a screened porch for his sister, on which he worked hard to make special for his family.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Tracy are his children, Niki Jordan (Al) of Elko, Josh Grantham (Chasity) of Unadilla, Chris Blanchard (Brandi Benn) of Arizona, and Cody Grantham (Rose) of Florida; his grandchildren, Blayson Jordan, Ansley Grace Jordan, James Grantham, and Lorelai Grantham; his siblings, Joyce Dugan (Steve), Pati Crumley, Skip Grantham (Jennifer), and Kathy Robbins (Darrell), all of the Perry area; and many nieces and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
