Tommy Steven Bower's Obituary
Tommy Bower, 61, passed away unexpectedly from a sudden illness on January 30, 2019. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. A Private Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry.
Tommy grew up in Warner Robins and graduated in 1975 from Northside High School where he was an outstanding basketball player.He was a Respiratory Therapist throughout his career and worked at Medical Center of Macon for 20 years, then worked at Northside Hospital and Regency Hospital, both in Macon. After retirement, Tommy’s life consisted of UGA football and his beloved and faithful Dachshund, Christy. He enjoyed working out three times a week at Planet Fitness, and he loved his neighbors at Leisure Lake, who were also his friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Lester.
Survivors include his father, Glenn Bower; sister, Glenda Reed (Bart) of Baxter, Tennessee; brother, Gary Bower (Susan) of Monticello; nieces, Stephanie Foley, Kristyn McElheney, and Taylor Bower; nephew, Robert Reed; and his dog, Christy.
