TIMMY BARRETT's Obituary
MACON –
Timothy Andrew “Timmy” Barrett, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. A private service to celebrate his life will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Music Camp at Otis Redding Foundation, 339 Cotton Avenue, Macon, GA 31201.
A lifelong resident of Macon, Timmy was born to the late Daniel and Anne Ethridge Barrett. He was raised in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church where his parents were founding members. Timmy graduated from Mt. de Sales Academy and attended Georgia College. He was the lead singer for New Found Daze, a band that became popular and played all over the Southeast during the 1990’s. After NFD, Timmy enjoyed writing songs and sharing them with various musicians as well as his friends. He loved Downtown Macon and lived life “wide open.” He was very charismatic and charming and was loved by everyone with whom he came in contact.
Timmy is survived by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
