Thomas R. Phillips' Obituary
Thomas R. Phillips, age 75, a native of Ellisville, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014. He retired from Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 19 after 30 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the George U. Potter Lodge #912 F & AM. He was preceded in death by his parents Monroe and Colie Phillips, siblings, Hazel Roe Phillips, Ozell Phillips, J.B. Phillips, Estelle Vinson, Neva Williamson, Ester Purvis. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shelia DuBose Phillips, children, Kimberly Phillips (Joe) Stringfellow, Thomas Chad (Elaine) Phillips, Loretta (Jay) Whitsworth, Tommie Lynne Rudd, Ronnie (Cindy) Phillips, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, siblings, Herman (Verdie) Phillips, Edna Walters, Lucielle Bush, Lois Danzey, Frank (Shirley) Phillips, Lola Mae Landrum, Rudloph (Lida) Phillips, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 12 noon with visitation starting at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Heaven just welcomed an angel in cowboy boots.
