Thomas Harlan McKinstry's Obituary
Thomas H. McKinstry, age 88, a longtime resident of Semmes, AL passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. He was a milwright at Alcoa for 40 years. He was an active Union Worker. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Thomas was a hard working man who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Suzanne McKinstry, step-son, Butch Holloman. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ouida McKinstry, daughters, Brenda Lambert and Alice McKinstry, sister, Virginia Hill, grandchildren, David Asbury, Jimmy (Christina) Smith, Thomas (Kristen) Smith, Franklin (Melissa) Smith, Gil Lambert, great grandchildren, Mandy (Adam) Reeves, Jessica, Laiden, Sara, Scott, Blake, Sophia, Amelia, great great-grandchild, Adalyn, niece, Hollye Dubois, special nephew, Joe Perryman, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Serenity on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
